Debut of a Dutch multi-talent

The Dutch musical scene is doing very well! After the official recital debut of the brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen in 2018, and that of Hannes Lover in 2019, we are delighted to welcome another Dutch master of the keyboard in the coming season: Thomas Beijer, born in 1988. On several occasions Thomas Beijer has been a guest as a soloist in the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ and in both the “Kleine Zaal” and the “Grote Zaal” of the Concertgebouw, but a solo recital in the main hall was still lacking. Thomas Beijer had been dreaming about this for years. When the daily Het Parool asked him what his career plan was, he answered: “I don’t have one. I’m not very good at planning. And maybe I’m not monomaniac enough to travel around alone all the time and continuously put on a tail coat. Playing once in the Master Pianists series in the Concertgebouw would be a dream come true. But I also want to compose and write books.”
