Lucas & Arthur Jussen: Pure passion and musical enthusiasm

Perhaps some people may remember how Lucas and Arthur, for the first time in their life, descended totally relaxed, together with their mentor Maria João Pires, the immense staircase of the Main Hall. The day after her recital in Amsterdam, in October 2013, Pires became acquainted with them, and she felt it might be a good idea to invite them for an encore, when in October 2005 she gave a duet recital, together with Ricardo Castro. And so Lucas and Arthur, respectively 12 and 9 years of age, made their ‘debut’ on October 16, 2005 in the Concertgebouw.
