BIOGRAPHY

SIR ANDRÁS SCHIFF: HUNGARIAN MASTER OF CLASSIC PIANO STORY TELLING

András Schiff is still one of the eminent classics among the pianists. He is renowned as the absolute specialist on Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert and Schumann, and has made many superb recordings for Teldec and Decca. Schiff minces no words in speaking about this: ‘I see every composer through my experiences with Bach. All great music after Bach is related to Bach and polyphony and counterpoint and different voices.’
